Kyle Roussel is a dynamic example of a modern New Orleans musician forging his own path while
collaborating with a variety of musical masters. A graduate of the famed New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and the University of New Orleans began playing the piano at age nine; studying classical music before moving on to perform in church and explore jazz in his teenage years. These days, Kyle is equally adept in the worlds of jazz, classical, funk, gospel, rhythm and blues, and rock- his diverse influences shaping his personal musical identity and providing inspiration at every turn.
Kyle currently performs all around the US, with other engagements taking him all over Europe, Asia, South America, Australia, and Africa with stalwarts such as The Headhunters, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Bill Summers, Herlin Riley, Christian Scott, The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Delfeayo Marsalis, Shannon Powell, Roland Guerin, Bonerama, Glen David Andrews, Khris Royal and Dark Matter, and Topsy Chapman. One thing is clear to anyone who is paying attention: Kyle Roussel has only just begun to leave his mark on the world of music.

Der Pianist tourte bereits mit Headhunters, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Bill Summers, Herlin Riley, Christian Scott, Delfeayo Marsalis und tritt regelmäßig in der Preservation Hall und beim New Orleans Jazz Festival auf. Mit seinem neuen Album "Rookie of the Year" präsentiert sich Kyle Roussel erstmals als Solokünstler.
Kyle Roussel kommt im Rahmen der Ausstellung "New Orleans - The Sound of a City" nach Deutschland.

ENTRANCE FEES
One of the reasons that makes the zig zag jazz club so unique is that it is the first and only jazz club in the world that manages to finance world class events through a donation/crowd funding concept. How do we do it? Its quite simple… during the break of the concert we make an announcement regarding the collection for the evening. For most concerts (excluding the jam session) we inform our customers that a donation of around 15€ per person will allow us to fairly compensate the musicians. Some people give more and some give less… and that´s ok… we ´ve already successfully promoted hundreds of concerts like this!!!
EINTRITT
Einer der Gründe, die den Zig Zag Jazzclub so einzigartig machen, ist, dass er der erste und einzige Jazzclub der Welt ist, dem es gelingt nur durch Spenden/Crowdfunding Events von Weltklasse zu finanzieren. Und wie machen wir das? Ganz einfach. Während der Konzertpause geben wir bekannt, dass wir Geld einsammeln werden. Bei den meisten Konzerten (außer Jam Sessions) informieren wir unsere Kunden, dass eine Spende von ungefähr 15 Euro es uns erlaubt die Musiker gerecht zu bezahlen. Manche geben dabei mehr und andere weniger... und das ist auch in Ordnung. Wir haben auf diese Weise schon Hunderte Konzerte organisiert.
