Der Belgische Jazzgitarrist Jeanfrançois Prins (der die letzten Jahre in Berlin und NYC verbracht) spielte bereits unzälige Konzerten in ganz Europa , Nord- und Südamerika und auch in Asien mit so renommierten Jazzgrößen wie z.B. Lee Konitz, Toots Thielemans, Kenny Wheeler, Randy Brecker, Bill Evans, Kirk Lightsey, Eddie Gomez, Gene Jackson, um nur einige wenige zu nennen .
Prins hat tiefe Wurzeln in der facettenreichen Jazz-Tradition (von Swing bis Avantgarde) und ein weitreichendes musikalisches Vokabular - von französischen Chansons bis Boleros, von brasilianischer Musik bis zeitgenössischer Klassik bis R’nB/Soul. Er liebt Musik und vor allem liebt er es seine Musik mit seinen Bandmitgliedern und dem Publikum zu teilen.
J Mood besteht aus einer Kollektion von starken Melodien, tiefen Grooves, anspruchsvollem Blues und Soul (seine eigenen Kompositionen, Melodien von Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Thelonious Monk...)

Belgian jazz guitarist Jeanfrançois Prins (based in Berlin and NYC for many years) has performed all over Europe, the Americas and even Asia with many jazz giants - Lee Konitz, Toots Thielemans, Kenny Wheeler, Randy Brecker, Bill Evans, Kirk Lightsey, Eddie Gomez, Gene Jackson, to cite but a few. With deep roots in the whole Jazz tradition (from swing to avant-garde), and a far-reaching musical vocabulary running from French Chanson to Boleros, from Brazilian music to contemporary Classical to R’nB/Soul, Prins loves music, and most of all he loves sharing music with his bandmates and his audience.
J Mood consists in a collection of strong melodies, deep grooves, sophisticated blues and soul (his original compositions, tunes from Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Thelonious Monk, …)
