Jorge Rossy is best known for having played drums in the groups of Brad Mehldau, Wayne Shorter, Joe Lovano, Charlie Haden, Steve Swallow, Joshua Redman, Chris Cheek and many others but is also an accomplished pianist and vibraphonist. He leads his latest group as a vibraphonist that features Al Foster, Mark Turner, Peter Bernstein and Doug Weiss. After nearly 30 years, Jorge will reunite with old friend Larry Porter for a special night to celebrate the music of Bud Powell. They will be joined by the other members of Larry’s working trio, Joe Smith on drums and Andreas Lang on bass.

-Larry Porter is one of the most respected American Jazz pianists currently residing in Germany. His professional career spans over five decades and his mastery  of the art and language of Jazz have brought him to every corner of the world. He has collaborated and worked with some of the greatest American jazz legends including: Chet Baker, Mel Lewis, Archie Shepp Thad Jones, Art Farmer etc.

Nicknamed “The Viking” Andreas Lang powerful stage presence is unique and unparalleled. Andreas performed in Denmark with Anders Mogensen, Hans Ulrik, Kresten Osgood, Håvard Wiik and Mads la Cour. In 2007 he settled in Berlin and quickly established himself in the jazz scene there as a bassist in great demand. He has shared the stage with Jeremy Pelt, Bill Stewart, Rudi Mahall, Christian Lillinger, Oliver Steidle, Gunter Hampel, Henrik Walsdorff, Tobias Delius, John Schröder and many others. As a member of the group Hütte, he won the New German Jazz Award in 2013.

- Joe Smith studied at the Cincinnati Conservatory and the Manhattan School of Music at Vernel Fournier , Jimmy Lovelace , John Von Ohlen , John Riley, and Jeff Williams. From 1991 to 2000, he played in New York City; Subsequently lived in Barcelona. Under his own name he presented two albums at FreshSound Records , Happy and Melodic Workshop , a. With Bill McHenry , Gorka Benitez , Guillermo Klein , Chris Lightcap and Jorge Rossy . [1] In addition, Smith was involved in recordings of John McNeil ( This Way Out , 2002), Arthur Kell , Ryan Blotnick , Fredrik Carlquist, and Brandon Miller . [2] In 2008, he founded the Asociación Libre Orkesta , a big band that combines improvised music with lyrics and picture projections. In 2010 Smith appeared with the Orkesta at the Jazz al Parque Festival in Bogotá . Since 2011 he has been living in Berlin, where he is currently (2015) involved in band projects, a. By George Donchev , Johannes Lauer , Christian Ugurel and Jessica Einaudi , as well as the formation Sarsaparilla and a Shakespeare production of the German Theater.
