Die musikalische Welt des Falk Bonitz Trios ist geprägt durch eine Vielfalt von Einflüssen, von klassischen Komponisten der Spätromantik wie Debussy und Brahms, bis Latinjazz-Pianisten wie Chick Corea und Michel Camilo.
So entwickelte sich eine bilderreiche Sprache zwischen Jazz und klassischer Musik, die den Zuhörer durch pure Lust am Rhythmus, aber auch Melancholie und Ernsthaftigkeit berührt. Dabei reicht das Spektrum der Eigenkompositionen von poetisch verträumten Balladen bis zu krachenden, zuckenden Groove-Orgien, die latein-amerikanische Klischees mit unerwarteten rhythmischen Wendungen abwandeln. Der alles verbindende rote Faden dabei ist die bisweilen expressionistisch anmutende Harmonik, die sich dann wieder mit modernen Jazzgestiken vereint.
The musical world of the FALK BONITZ TRIO is marked by a variety of influences from classical composers of the late Romanticism era such as Debussy and Brahms, and Latin Jazz pianists such as Chick Corea and Michel Camilo.
Consequently, a multifaceted language between Jazz and classical music, touching the listener with the pure joy of rhythm, depth of melody and melancholy.
Falk Bonitz's compositions and the trio's arrangements travel from poetic dreamy ballads to powerful explosions of groove, yet blowing away all latin american music stereotypes .
The red thread linking all of it is the combination of expressionistic harmonies and modern Jazz gestures.

Originally from Haiti, born in New York, raised in Montreal, and now living in Berlin, Rachelle Jeanty has been singing professionally for the past 20 years.
She has toured the world as a backup vocalist for Celine Dion and sang on the biggest stages, and has, since then, recorded four albums of her own and given solo performances at ''Les Francofolies de Montréal'', at the United Nations and as a guest vocalist of the internationally reknown Vienna Boys Choir.

ENTRANCE FEES
One of the reasons that makes the zig zag jazz club so unique is that it is the first and only jazz club in the world that manages to finance world class events through a crowd funding concept. How do we do it? Its quite simple… during the break of the concert we make an announcement regarding the collection for the evening. For most concerts (excluding the jam session) we inform our customers that a fee of around 15€ per person will allow us to fairly compensate the musicians. Some people give more and some give less… and that´s ok… we ´ve already successfully promoted hundreds of concerts like this!!!
EINTRITT
Einer der Gründe, die den Zig Zag Jazzclub so einzigartig machen, ist, dass er der erste und einzige Jazzclub der Welt ist, dem es gelingt nur durch freiwilligem Eintritt/Crowdfunding Events von Weltklasse zu finanzieren. Und wie machen wir das? Ganz einfach. Während der Konzertpause geben wir bekannt, dass wir Geld einsammeln werden. Bei den meisten Konzerten (außer Jam Sessions) informieren wir unsere Kunden, dass ein Beitrag von ungefähr 15 Euro es uns erlaubt die Musiker gerecht zu bezahlen. Manche geben dabei mehr und andere weniger... und das ist auch in Ordnung. Wir haben auf diese Weise schon Hunderte Konzerte organisiert.
