Afrodream ist ein Afrobeat/Pop-Ensemble, das 2018 in Turin gegründet wurde und aus der Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem senegalesischen Künstler Abou Samb (Vocals, Percussion) und Luca Vergano (Gitarre) hervorgegangen ist.

Die einzigartige Musik von Afrodream entsteht durch die einzigartige Verschmelzung afrikanischer Rhythmen und Melodien mit westlichem Einfluss.
Dieser harmonische Klang ist das Ergebnis einer Zusammenarbeit zwischen Musikern mit unterschiedlichem kulturellen und musikalischen Hintergrund, die gekonnt ein rhythmisches und melodisches Gleichgewicht gefunden haben. Das Ergebnis sind energiegeladene Live-Auftritte, die eine fast kathartische Atmosphäre schaffen und das Publikum zum Tanzen und Eintauchen in die Musik einladen.
Afrodreams künstlerischer Werdegang umfasst die Veröffentlichung von zwei EPund ihres Debütalbums La Teranga (2020), das durch eine erfolgreiche Crowdfunding-Kampagne finanziert wurde.
Die Band hat auch an bedeutenden Showcase-Festivals teilgenommen, darunter Jazzahead, WOMEX OFF und Italy World Music, außerdem spielten sie inzwischen Gigs in ganz Europa und eine umjubelte Tour im Senegal. Ihr neues Album wird im Herbst 2025 erscheinen!

Afrodream is an Afrobeat/Pop ensemble founded in 2018 in Turin, born out of the collaboration between Senegalese artist Abou Samb (vocals, percussion) and Luca Vergano (guitar).

The unique sound of Afrodream emerges from the fusion of African rhythms and melodies with Western influences. This harmonious blend is the result of collaboration between musicians from diverse cultural and musical backgrounds, who have skillfully created a balance of rhythm and melody. The outcome is high-energy live performances that generate an almost cathartic atmosphere, inviting audiences to dance and fully immerse themselves in the music.

Afrodream’s artistic journey includes the release of two EPs and their debut album La Teranga (2020), which was funded through a successful crowdfunding campaign. The band has also appeared at major showcase festivals, including Jazzahead, WOMEX OFF, and Italy World Music, and has performed extensively across Europe, as well as on a celebrated tour in Senegal. Their new album is set to be released in autumn 2025!
