Alexander Wienand ist ein komponierender Pianist, für den die Welten des Jazz und der sogenannten ernsten Musik untrennbar zum Inspirationsfeld gehören. Er ist mit eigenen Ensembles international aktiv und war Gast auf Bühnen wie dem Musikfest Stuttgart, den Europäischen Wochen Passau, dem Düsseldorf Festival, der Jazzahead Bremen, oder der Cologne Jazznight. Er ist Träger des bayerischen Kunstförderpreises und war Stipendiat verschiedener Stiftungen, wie zum Beispiel der deutschen Stiftung Musikleben, dem NRW Kultursekretariat und des deutschen Tonkünstlerverbands. Wienand ist in Calw aufgewachsen und lebt in Berlin.

Uli Kempendorff studierte an der HfM »Hanns Eisler« Berlin und in New York am City College Saxophon und Improvisation. Kempendorffs Arbeit ist auf gut zwei Dutzend CDs, Schallplatten und Rundfunkmitschnitten dokumentiert, bei Labels wie WhyPlayJazz, ECM, Enja/Yellowbird oder Four Music. Darunter befinden sich fünf eigene Produktionen mit »Field« und Yellow Bird. Neben seinen eigenen Projekten »Field« (seit 2018 mit Christopher Dell, Peter Bruun und Jonas Westergaard) und »Yellow Bird« (eine Modern-Roots-Band mit ehemals Lucia Cadotsch, Manon Kahle und Ronny Graupe) ist und war Uli Kempendorff aktiv in Gruppen mit u.a. Benjamin Weidekamp, Julia Hülsmann, Felix Henkelhausen, Tobias Delius, Rudi Mahall, Wanja Slavin, Markus Pesonen, Janning Trumann, Pablo Held, Mike Pride, Christian Weber; er spielte mit SEEED, Rolf Kühn, ‪Jimi Tenor und 'Little' Jimmy Scott. Kempendorff erhielt mehrere Projekt-, Studio-, und Kompositionsstipendien des Berliner Senats und 2006/07 als DAAD-Jahres-Stipendiat in New York City.

Bassist Marc Muellbauer kam 1968 in London zur Welt, lebt aber seit seinem dritten Lebensjahr in Deutschland. Nach einem Studium an der Folkwang-Hochschule ging er 1996 nach Berlin, um bei Michael Wolf an der Universität der Künste weiter zu studieren. Dort gründete er 2000 seine neunköfige Band Kaleidoscope. Musikalisch breit aufgestellt arbeitet Muellbauer in den verschiedensten musikalischen Bereichen, von Jazz bis hin zu zeitgenössischer klassischer Musik. An der Berliner Hanns-Eisler-Hochschule für Musik ist er seit 1998 Dozent für Kontrabass.

Diego Pinera, preisgekrönter Jazzvirtuose, ist eine einzigartige Persönlichkeit, die der Musik wirklich neue Wege weist, indem er die poetisch-rhythmische Freiheit des Jazz anderen metrischen Systemen gegenüberstellt. Sein charakterstarker persönlicher Stil ist geprägt durch ein avanciert rhythmisches Spielkonzept, ein Jazz-Sound mit Latin-Touch sowie dem Freiheitdrang der Improvisation. Musikalische Komplexität sowie Virtuosität bleiben bei Pinera aber stets subtil, eine besondere Frische und Leichtigkeit durchströmt sein künstlerisches Schaffen. Seit 2002 wurde Diego Piñera sowohl als Drummer „Instrumentalist“ als auch als Songwriter international wie national mehrfach ausgezeichnet, mit dem ECHO JAZZ 2017 und dem Deutschen Jazzpreis 2023 . Das bei ACT Records erschienene Album Odd Wisdom, bei dem u.A. mit Donny McCaslin erhielt eine Grammy-Nominierung. Er gilt als Ausnahmekünstler seines Faches.

Alexander Wienand is a composing pianist for whom the worlds of jazz and so-called serious music are inseparable fields of inspiration. He is internationally active with his own ensembles and has been a guest on stages such as the Musikfest Stuttgart, the European Weeks Passau, the Düsseldorf Festival, the Jazzahead Bremen, or the Cologne Jazznight. He is a recipient of the Bavarian Art Promotion Award and has been a scholarship holder of various foundations, such as the German Foundation for Musical Life, the NRW Cultural Secretariat, and the German Association of Musicians. Wienand grew up in Calw and lives in Berlin.

Marc Muellbauer was born in London in 1968, but has lived in Germany since the age of three. After studying at the Folkwang University, he moved to Berlin in 1996 to continue his studies with Michael Wolf at the University of the Arts. There he founded his nine-piece band Kaleidoscope in 2000. Muellbauer has a wide range of musical backgrounds, from jazz to contemporary classical music. He has been a lecturer in double bass at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin since 1998.

Diego Pinera, award-winning jazz virtuoso, is a unique personality who truly breaks new ground for music by juxtaposing the poetic-rhythmic freedom of jazz with other metric systems. His strong character personal style is characterized by an advanced rhythmic concept of playing, a jazz sound with a Latin touch as well as the freedom urge of improvisation. However, musical complexity as well as virtuosity always remain subtle with Pinera, a special freshness and lightness flows through his artistic work. Since 2002, Diego Piñera has received several awards both as a drummer "instrumentalist" and as a songwriter, both internationally and nationally, with the ECHO JAZZ 2017 and the German Jazz Award 2023 .
