Gilad Hekselman ist ohne Frage einer der umtriebigsten, kreativsten und wegweisendsten Jazzgitarristen der letzten Jahre. Mit seinem einzigartigen Sound und seiner uneingeschränkten Kreativität begeistert er seit Jahren Jazzfans, Musikerkollegen und auch HörerInnen darüber hinaus. Nur wenige Jahre nach seiner Ankunft in New York im Jahr 2004 teilte der gebürtige Israeli bereits die Bühne mit einigen der größten Künstler der New Yorker Jazzszene, darunter Chris Potter, Eric Harland, Mark Turner, Anat Cohen, Ari Hoenig, Esperanza Spalding, Jeff Ballard, Ben Wendel, Gretchen Parlato, Ben Williams, Avishai Cohen, Tigran Hamasyan, Aaron Parks und Becca Stevens und viele andere. Er hat in allen wichtigen Jazzclubs in New York City gespielt, darunter dem Village Vanguard, dem Blue Note, The Jazz Standard, Dizzy's Club und Smalls. Er ist ständig auf der ganzen Welt auf Tournee und hat auf den meisten bedeutenden Jazzfestivals und Veranstaltungsorten gespielt, darunter Montreux, North Sea, Montreal und SFJazz, um nur einige zu nennen.Hekselman hat als Bandleader neun von der Kritik gefeierte Alben veröffentlicht, von denen viele in den Bestenlisten der NY Times, des Downbeat Magazine, von Amazon, All About Jazz und vielen anderen Publikationen aufgeführt sind.

"Herausragend" ist eine überstrapazierte und oft leichtfertig gebrachte Beschreibung, aber eine, die auf den Bassisten Orlando le Fleming so konsequent zutrifft, dass sie mehr als berechtigt ist. Le Fleming entschied sich in den 1990er Jahren für eine Musikerlaufbahn und studierte an der Royal Academy of Music. Schnell erspielte er sich eine beeindruckende Reputation. Es zog ihn schlussendlich nach New York, wo er sein unverwechselbares Spiel und seine unnachahmliche musikalische Persönlichkeit in die Arbeit an Projekten für Branford Marsalis, Joey Calderazzo, Antonio Sanchez, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Bill Charlap, Billy Cobham, Kevin Hays, Wayne Krantz, Jimmy Cobb, Ari Hoenig, Seamus Blake, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Leslie Odom Jr, Mark Turner und David Sanchez und vielen anderen brachte. Heute gilt Orlando le Fleming als einer der führenden international tätigen Kontra- und E-Bassisten.

Schon während seiner Schulzeit spielte Ofri Nehemya mit führenden israelischen Jazzmusikern wie Amos Hoffman, Omri Mor und Eli Degibri. Mit 17 Jahren wurde er Mitglied in Degibris Quartett und ist auf den Alben Twelve und Cliff Hangin’ zu hören. Zwei Jahre später begann er – ausgestattet mit einem Vollstipendium – sein Studium am Berklee College of Music. Parallel dazu startete seine internationale Karriere: Er tourte mit Bassist Avishai Cohen und wirkte an dessen Album Almah (2013) mit. Zudem stellte er ein eigenes Quartett vor (u. a. mit Yotam Silberstein und Julian Shore) und tourte damit durch Europa, unter anderem mit einem Auftritt beim Red Sea Jazz Festival. Weitere Kooperationen führten ihn zu Omer Avital (Abutbul Music, Qantar), dem Gitarristen Shachar Elnatan sowie zu Shai Maestro, auf dessen ECM-Album The Dream Thief (2018) er mitwirkte. Darüber hinaus ist er Mitglied im Quintett von Alexander Claffy (mit Jeremy Pelt und Immanuel Wilkins) sowie im Quintett der Pianistin Simona Premazzi.

Just a few years after arriving in New York in 2004, the Israeli native has already shared the stage with some of the biggest artists on the New York jazz scene, including Chris Potter, Eric Harland, Mark Turner, Anat Cohen, Ari Hoenig, Esperanza Spalding, Jeff Ballard, Ben Wendel, Gretchen Parlato, Ben Williams, Avishai Cohen, Tigran Hamasyan, Aaron Parks and Becca Stevens, among many others. He has played at all the major jazz clubs in New York City, including the Village Vanguard, the Blue Note, The Jazz Standard, Dizzy's Club, and Smalls. He tours constantly around the world and has played most major jazz festivals and venues, including Montreux, North Sea, Montreal, and SFJazz, to name a few.Hekselman has released nine critically acclaimed albums as a bandleader, many of which have been included in the best of lists in the NY Times, Downbeat Magazine, Amazon, All About Jazz, and many other publications.

"Outstanding” is an overused description but one that’s applied to bassist Orlando le Fleming so consistently that its justification can’t be denied. While living in New York he brought his inimitable personality to work on projects for the likes of Branford Marsalis, Joey Calderazzo, Antonio Sanchez, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Bill Charlap, Billy Cobham, Kevin Hays, Wayne Krantz, Jimmy Cobb, Ari Hoenig, Seamus Blake, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Leslie Odom Jr, Mark Turner and David Sanchez among many others. Today he is considered one of the leading international bassists.

While still in high school, Ofri Nehmya performed with leading Israeli jazz musicians including Amos Hoffman, Omri Mor, and Eli Degibri. At just 17, he joined Degibri’s quartet and can be heard on the albums Twelve and Cliff Hangin’. Two years later, having received a full scholarship, he began studying at the Berklee College of Music. Around the same time, his international career took off: he toured with bassist Avishai Cohen and appeared on Cohen’s album Almah (2013). Today, Ofri Nechemya is regarded as one of the most in-demand drummers of his generation — a musician defined by technical clarity, responsive interplay, and a strong international presence.
