Der Zig Zag-Jazzclub ist stolz darauf unsere Konzertreihe in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Jazz-Institut Berlin (JIB) fortzuführen, die musikalischen Talenten der internationalen Szene eine Bühne bieten wird. Das Jazz-Institut Berlin gilt deutschlandweit wie auch international als eine der renommiertesten Ausbildungsstätten für Jazz und zieht viele Talente aus der ganzen Welt an. Kommen Sie und hören Sie sich die Zukunft des Jazz an!

Erste Band:
Signe Misgeld ist eine junge Jazzsängerin aus Stockholm, Schweden, mit einer warmen und selbstbewussten Stimme. Ihr Gesang bewegt sich mühelos zwischen träumerischen Harmonien, swingenden Melodien und einer verspielten, ausdrucksstarken Energie.

Inspiriert von Künstlerinnen wie Cécile McLorin Salvant, Sarah Vaughan und Nancy Wilson hat Signe eine eigene, faszinierende Klangsprache entwickelt. Ihre Musik ist einfühlsam, berührend und kraftvoll; ihre Texte kreisen um Sehnsucht, Neugier und die Suche nach einem Gefühl von Zuhause.

Derzeit arbeitet Signe an ihrem Debütalbum Wide Wings, dessen Veröffentlichung für 2026 geplant ist.

Zweite Band:
Jack Franco ist ein in Berlin lebender Gitarrist. Gemeinsam mit einer deutsch-britischen Rhythmusgruppe, bestehend aus Lukas Heckers und Chris Sergeant, möchte sein Trio eine Brücke zwischen der traditionellen Hard-Bop-Szene der Mitte der 1950er Jahre und zeitgenössischer Groove-Musik schlagen.

In Ecuador geboren und aufgewachsen, lernte Jack das Gitarrenspiel zunächst auf der Straße und trat viele Jahre lang im Gypsy-Jazz-Stil auf. Im Alter von 19 Jahren zog er nach dem Abitur nach Berlin, um am Jazz-Institut Berlin seine erste formale Musikausbildung zu absolvieren, wo er derzeit studiert.

Während seiner Zeit in der Stadt entwickelte er eine besondere Leidenschaft für traditionellen Hard Bop und grooveorientierte Musik und lässt sich dabei von vielfältigen Einflüssen inspirieren, darunter The Jazz Messengers und D'Angelo.

The Zig Zag-Jazzclub is proud to continue our concert series in collaboration with the Jazz Institute Berlin (JIB) that will showcase some outstanding jazz talent from the international scene. The Jazz Institute Berlin is considered one of the most prestigious jazz training institutions in Germany as well as internationally, attracting many of the most gifted talents from around the world. Signe Misgeld is a young jazz vocalist from Stockholm, Sweden, with a warm and confident sound. Her voice moves effortlessly between dreamy harmonies, swinging melodies, and a playful, expressive energy.

Inspired by artists such as Cécile McLorin Salvant, Sarah Vaughan, and Nancy Wilson, Signe has developed a distinctive and captivating musical voice. Her music is engaging, sentimental, and powerful, while her lyrics explore themes of longing, curiosity, and the search for a sense of home.

Zweite Band:
Jack Franco is a guitarist based in Berlin. Together with a German-British rhythm section featuring Lukas Heckersand Chris Sergeant, his trio seeks to bridge the traditional hard bop scene of the mid-1950s with contemporary groove music.

Born and raised in Ecuador, Jack first learned to play guitar on the streets, performing in the Gypsy jazz tradition for many years. At the age of 19, after graduating from high school, he moved to Berlin to pursue his first formal musical education at the Jazz-Institut Berlin, where he is currently studying.

During his years in the city, he developed a deep affinity for traditional hard bop and groove-oriented music, drawing inspiration from a wide range of influences, including The Jazz Messengers and D'Angelo.
