Jochen Rückert ist ein deutscher Jazzschlagzeuger, Komponist und Bandleader, der seit den 1990er-Jahren in New York City lebt. Er begann im Alter von sechs Jahren Schlagzeug zu spielen und studierte an der Hochschule für Musik in Köln, bevor er 1995 nach New York zog. Rückert ist an über 120 Alben beteiligt und arbeitete mit zahlreichen internationalen Musiker:innen wie dem Marc Copland Trio, Nils Wogram & Root 70, der Kurt Rosenwinkel Group, der Mark Turner Band, dem Melissa Aldana Trio, Sam Yahel, sowie John Abercrombie, Kenny Werner, Ron Carter und anderen.

Die in Großbritannien geborene und mehrfach ausgezeichnete Alexandra Ridout ist Trompeterin, Bandleaderin, Komponistin und Pädagogin und lebt in Harlem, New York City. Mit nur 26 Jahren ist Alexandra bereits eine der talentiertesten jungen Trompeterinnen der internationalen Szene. Seit sie 2016 den prestigeträchtigen BBC Young Jazz Musician Award in Großbritannien gewonnen hat, wurde sie in eine vielbeschäftigte, hochkarätige Karriere katapultiert und hat seitdem das Publikum in ihren Bann gezogen. Zu ihren Auszeichnungen gehören die British Jazz Awards „Rising Star“ 2018, die Keep an Eye International Jazz Awards „Best Soloist“ 2023, der zweite Platz beim angesehenen Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Competition 2023 und kürzlich der Next Jazz Legacy 2025 Award durch New Music USA. Alex' unverwechselbare Trompetenstimme wird von zahlreichen prominenten Musikern wie Orlando Le Flemming, Kit Downes, Dayna Stephens, Caroline Davis, Alex Hitchcock und Pablo Held nachgefragt.

Kevin Sun ist ein US-amerikanischer Jazzmusiker (Tenorsaxophon, C-Melody-Saxophon, Klarinette) und Komponist. Er studierte am Harvard College, wo er 2014 summa cum laude abschloss, und setzte seine Ausbildung im Rahmen eines gemeinsamen Programms am New England Conservatory of Music fort, wo er 2016 den Master of Music in Jazz Performance erwarb. Sun arbeitet seitdem regelmäßig in Jazz-Quartett-Besetzungen und trat als Solist und Sideman auf in Clubs wie dem Smalls Jazz Club, im Symphony Space und der Carnegie Hall in New York sowie im Sunside Jazz Club in Paris. Er spielte u. a. mit Vijay Iyer, James Moody, Kenny Burrell, Dave Liebman und Rich Perry.

Hamish Smith, ein mehrfach ausgezeichneter Jazzbassist aus Neuseeland, hat sich mit seinem groove-zentrierten Ansatz und rhythmischer Erfindungsgabe schnell einen festen Platz in der New Yorker Jazzszene erarbeitet. NEA-Jazzmaster Todd Barkan nannte ihn „ein modernes Wunder – einer der großartigsten jungen Bassisten der Welt“. Er arbeitete auf Touren und Aufnahmen mit Musiker:innen wie Paquito D’Rivera, Miguel Zenón, Yosvany Terry, Dayna Stephens, Manuel Valera, Elio Villafranca und dem Vanguard Jazz Orchestra. Als Bandleader tritt er mit eigenem Quintett auf und gründete zudem die Kooperative Immigrantet. Nach seinem Umzug nach New York dank eines Stipendiums an der Manhattan School of Music wurde er bereits im ersten Studienjahr für die Band von Paquito D’Rivera verpflichtet. Er ist außerdem als Pädagoge aktiv, sowohl privat als auch international als Gastdozent.

He began playing drums at age six and studied at the Cologne University of Music before moving to New York in 1995. Rückert has appeared on over 120 albums, working with artists and ensembles including the Marc Copland Trio, Nils Wogram & Root 70, Kurt Rosenwinkel Group, Mark Turner Band, Melissa Aldana Trio, Sam Yahel, as well as John Abercrombie, Kenny Werner, Ron Carter and others. Since 2011 he has led his own quartet, touring internationally and releasing several albums.

Kevin Sun is an American jazz musician (tenor saxophone, C-melody saxophone, clarinet) and composer. He studied at Harvard College, graduating summa cum laude in 2014, and continued his studies in the joint program at the New England Conservatory of Music, earning a Master of Music in Jazz Performance. Sun performs regularly in jazz quartet settings and has appeared as both leader and sideman at venues such as Smalls Jazz Club, Symphony Space, and Carnegie Hall in New York, and the Sunside Jazz Club in Paris. He has performed with artists including Vijay Iyer, James Moody, Kenny Burrell, Dave Liebman, and Rich Perry.

Hamish Smith, an award-winning New Zealand jazz bassist, quickly established himself in the New York jazz scene with his groove-centric approach and rhythmic inventiveness. NEA Jazz Master Todd Barkan described him as “a modern marvel—one of the great young bassists in the world.”
He has toured and recorded with leading artists such as Paquito D’Rivera, Miguel Zenón, Yosvany Terry, Dayna Stephens, Manuel Valera, Elio Villafranca, and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra. As a leader, he performs with his own quintet and co-founded the collective Immigrantet. After relocating to New York on a scholarship to the Manhattan School of Music, he was hired by Paquito D’Rivera in his freshman year. Smith is also an active educator, teaching privately and as a guest lecturer internationally.
