Joel Holmes does it again! Wer sich in der Berliner Jazz- und Grooveszene herumtreibt, wird mit Sicherheit schon auf das fantastische Spiel des Grammy-Nomminees Joel Holmes gestoßen sein. Das im ZigZag gern gesehene Genie schafft es mit seiner “Expansion” regelmäßig die angesagtesten und besten MusikerInnen der Stadt und weit darüber hinaus für unvergleichlich groovende und pulsierende Musik zusammen zu trommeln und so freuen wir uns auch dieses Mal wieder auf ein musikalisches Feuerwerk, bei dem wohl niemand still sitzen können wird!
Joel Holmes ist ein Grammy-nominierter, international anerkannter Pianist, Produzent und Komponist. Er tritt in unterschiedlichen Projekten auf der ganzen Welt auf, von New York bis Japan, und überzeugt die Zuhörer mit seinem einzigartigen Gefühl und Groove. Joel Holmes hat Konzerte mit Roy Hargrove, Jimmy Cobb, Nnenna Freelon und Javon Jackson u.v.m. gegeben. Sein Repertoire besteht aus traditionellem Jazz, World Musik, Nu-Jazz, Neo-Soul, Hip Hop und Elektronischer Musik.
Die gebürtige New-Yorkerin Desney Bailey ist in der europäischen NuJazz, Neo Soul und House Szene inzwischen weltbekannt. Mit ihrer Liebe zum Jazz und ihrer samtweichen, souligen Stimme verleiht sie ihren Songs einen unverwechselbaren eigenen Charakter. Ihre bisherigen Arbeiten mit Jazzanova, Deyampert, Slope und die fortlaufenden Produktionen von Produzent Oliver Marquardt aka DJ Jauche werden in ganz Europa, Japan und den USA gespielt. Mit funk- und jazzigen Grooves steht sie regelmäßig mit "The Urban Base Band" mit dem grammy-nominierten Komponist & Pianist Joel Holmes auf der Bühne. Sie tritt mit renommierten DJ's in ganz Europa auf und tourt mit ihrer eigenen sechsköpfigen Band, bestehend aus Top-Musikern aus den USA und Deutschland. Ihr Debütalbum "Meant To Be" wurde auf Royal Flame Music veröffentlicht.
Tal Yadin ist ein israelischer Gitarrist und Komponist, Absolvent des Rimon Jazz Institute in Tel Aviv und der Jerusalem Academy of Music in Jazz-Performance und Komposition. Er tourt häufig mit verschiedenen Gruppen aus den Bereichen Jazz, Weltmusik und R&B durch Europa und arbeitet häufig mit Künstlern wie AŸA, Ina Forsman, Sistanagila und Shai Bachar zusammen.
Carmelo Leotta ist ein in inzwischen ganz Europa beheimateter Musiker, der sich die Vielfalt der musikalischen Strömungen wie Jazz, Blues, Electronic und Ethno-Musik zu eigen gemacht hat. Als Arrangeur, Produzent und Komponist hat er vier Solo-Alben veröffentlicht. Im Laufe seiner langen Karriere durfte er schon die ganze Welt bereise und hatte die Ehre mit Giganten wie Jimmy Cobb, Archie Shepp oder Benny Golson zu spielen. Auch heute spielt er noch mit den angesagtesten Playern der Szene, beispielweise in seinem kammermusikalischen Jazztrio mit Tal Arditi und Dustin Drews.
Felix Lehrmann ist ein in Berlin lebender Schlagzeuger, der derzeit mit Till Brönner zusammenarbeitet. Seit 2008 ist er der Schlagzeuger von Deutschlands erfolgreichster Popkünstlerin Sarah Connor. Felix spielte auf über 250 Platten und arbeitete live und im Studio mit: The Flower Kings, Dendemann, Jan Böhmermann, Martin Miller, Teddy Teclebrhan und vielen mehr.

Desney Bailey, originally from New York, is now world-renowned in the European nu-jazz, neo-soul, and house scenes. With her love of jazz and velvety, soulful voice, she gives her songs a distinctive character. Her collaborations with Jazzanova, Deyampert, Slope, and ongoing productions with producer Oliver Marquardt aka DJ Jauche are played across Europe, Japan, and the USA. She frequently performs with the "Urban Base Band," alongside Grammy-nominated composer and pianist Joel Holmes, bringing funk and jazzy grooves to the stage. Tal Yadin is an israeli Guitarist and Composer, a graduate of the Rimon Jazz Institute in Tel Aviv and the Jerusalem Academy of Music in jazz performance and composition. He tours Europe frequently with various groups in the fields of Jazz, World Music, and R&B, and is collaborating frequently with artists such as AŸA, Ina Forsman, Sistanagila, and Shai Bachar.
Carmelo Leotta is a pan-European musician who has embraced the full spectrum of jazz, blues, electronic, and world music. As an arranger, producer, and composer, he has released four solo albums and toured the world, performing with jazz greats such as Jimmy Cobb, Archie Shepp, and Benny Golson. Today he continues to collaborate with leading figures of the scene, including in his chamber jazz trio with Tal Arditi and Dustin Drews.
Felix Lehrmann is a Berlin-based drummer who is currently working with Till Brönner. Since 2008 he has been the drummer for Germany's most successful pop artist Sarah Connor.
