Die Grammy-Gewinnerin und Gesangspartnerin von Michael Jackson und Prince gehört in den USA längst zu den Größten im Geschäft und der ein oder andere wird sich noch an ihre mitreißende Show in unserem Sommerintermezzo an der Spree 2024 erinnern! Judith Hill wuchs in einer musikalischen Familie auf, ihre japanische Mutter ist Pianistin, ihr afro-amerikanischer Vater Funk-Musiker. Beide begleiten Judith übrigens bei jedem Konzert in ihrer Band! Sie studierte in den USA und in Frankreich und begann nach ihrer Rückkehr ihre Karriere. Ihre kraftvolle, wandlungsfähige und doch einzigartige Stimme machte sie schnell zum Geheimtipp und ließen die Kollaborationspartner Schlange stehen. Sie wurde schnell eine der gefragtesten Backgroundsängerinnen, unter anderem für Anastacia, Josh Groban, Robbie Williams, George Benson und viele mehr.
2009 wurde sie als Michael Jacksons Duettpartnerin für die This is It - Konzerte gecastet und probte monatelang mit dem King of Pop bis zu dessen tragischen Tod. Auf seiner Trauerfeier hatte sie die Ehre Jacksons Klassiker Heal the World zu performen. 2014 und 2015 arbeitete sie mit John Legend und Prince zusammen und wurde für ihre Mitwirkung beim Dokumentarfilm 20 Feet from Stardom mit dem Grammy-Award für den besten Musikfilm ausgezeichnet.

Some of you may still remember her electrifying show at our summer intermezzo in 2024 – more than enough reason to welcome Judith back to our club with her fantastic band!
Judith Hill grew up in a musical family, her Japanese mother is a pianist, her African-American father a funk musician. She studied in the USA and France and began her career on her return. Her powerful, versatile and yet unique voice quickly made her an insider tip and had collaboration partners queuing up. She quickly became one of the most sought-after backing singers for Anastacia, Josh Groban, Robbie Williams, George Benson and many more.
In 2009, she was cast as Michael Jackson's duet partner for the This is It concerts and rehearsed with the King of Pop for months until his tragic death. At his memorial service, she had the honor of performing Jackson's classic Heal the World. In 2014 and 2015, she worked with John Legend and Prince and was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Music Film for her participation in the documentary 20 Feet from Stardom.
Judith's voice is versatile and powerful, multi-faceted and downright stunning. Anyone who has experienced her live knows about the impressive performance that the talented singer and multi-instrumentalist delivers.
