Anyone Can Book a Gig ist ein praxisorientierter Workshop über die geschäftliche Seite des Live-Musikbetriebs. Geleitet wird die Session von Katherine McVicker, Leiterin von Music Works International, die seit über 30 Jahren mit Künstlerinnen und Künstlern, Clubs und Festivals auf der ganzen Welt arbeitet.
Der Workshop führt Schritt für Schritt durch den Booking-Prozess: von Planung und Kontaktaufnahme über Honorarverhandlungen bis hin zur Promotion eines Konzerts. Die Teilnehmenden erhalten konkrete Strategien, die sich direkt anwenden lassen – und einen Einblick darin, wie Veranstalter, Booker und Programmverantwortliche tatsächlich denken.
In der Atmosphäre eines aktiven Jazzclubs entsteht dabei nicht nur Raum für Wissen, sondern auch für Austausch zwischen Musikerinnen, Musikern und den Menschen, die Konzerte programmieren.
