Die in Marblehead, Massachusetts geborene Lauren Henderson singt seit ihrer Kindheit. Zunächst in Kirchen- und Schulchören, später solo auf der Bühne. In New York begann sie bei Universal Music zu arbeiten. Stets zwischen dem wirtschaftlichen und künstlerischen Arm des Musikbusiness pendelnd, studierte sie parallel Musik, Gesang und Business Administration. Inzwischen ist sie nicht nur Labelinhaberin und Produzentin, die mit KünstlerInnen wie Terri Lynne Carrington, Sullivan Fortner oder Joel Ross zusammenarbeitete, sondern auch gefeierte Solokünstlerin. Born in Marblehead, Massachusetts, Lauren Henderson has been singing since childhood. First in church and school choirs, later solo on stage. She began working for Universal Music in New York. Always oscillating between the commercial and artistic arms of the music business, she studied music, singing and business administration at the same time. She is now not only a label owner and producer who has worked with artists such as Terri Lynne Carrington, Sullivan Fortner and Joel Ross, but also a celebrated solo artist. Renowned media such as the New York Times, Downbeat Magazine and the Jazz Times speak highly of her extraordinary musical range and her uniquely subtle voice.
