Nicole Zuraitis ist eine vielfach preisgekrönte amerikanische Jazzmusikerin (Gesang, Piano, Songwriting, Arrangement). Zuraitis interessierte sich zunächst für Sport und war eine talentierte Fußballspielerin, bevor sie in der High School zum Jazz fand, wo sie mit Posaune begann, aber später zum Gesang wechselte. Sie studierte klassischen Gesang an der New York University, bevor sie ihren Weg im Jazz entdeckte, nachdem sie zufällig zu einem Jazzfestival eingeladen wurde. Seit 2013 hat Zuraitis sechs Alben als Jazzsängerin veröffentlicht und leitet ihr eigenes Quartett. Zudem ist sie die Bandvokalistin der Birdland Big Band. Ihr Arrangement von Dolly Partons Jolene, das sie zusammen mit ihrem Mann Dan Pugach schrieb, wurde 2019 für einen Grammy nominiert. Ihr Debütalbum How Love Begins, das sie gemeinsam mit Christian McBride produzierte, gewann 2024 den Grammy für das beste Jazz-Gesangsalbum. Sie hat mit Künstlern wie Antonio Sanchez, Gilad Hekselman, Veronica Swift und vielen anderen zusammengearbeitet und unterrichtet Gesang an der New York University sowie der State University of New York, Purchase.

Nicole Zuraitis is an award-winning American jazz musician (vocals, piano, songwriting, arrangement). Zuraitis initially focused on sports and was a talented soccer player before turning to jazz in high school, where she started on trombone but later switched to vocals. She studied classical voice at New York University before finding her true path in jazz after being invited to a jazz festival. Since 2013, Zuraitis has released six albums as a jazz singer and leads her own quartet. She is also the band vocalist for the Birdland Big Band. Her arrangement of Dolly Parton's Jolene, co-written with her husband Dan Pugach, was nominated for a Grammy in 2019. How Love Begins, produced with Christian McBride, won the Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2024. She has collaborated with artists such as Antonio Sanchez, Gilad Hekselman, Veronica Swift, and more, and teaches at New York University and the State University of New York, Purchase.
