Quique Sinesi, Pendler zwischen Buenos Aires und Berlin, spielt in Japan und den USA lange Tourneen in ausverkauften Konzerthallen und gilt als einer der renommiertesten argentinischen Gitarristen, der zwischen Jazz und Folklore wandelt und mit seinen filigranen Kompositionen auch für die internationale klassische Gitarrenwelt eine feste Größe geworden ist. Als 15-jähriger spielte er bereits als festes Bandmitglied bei Dino Saluzzi, seine Duoaufnahmen und Auftritte mit Charlie Mariano wurden mit dem Duo Bill Evans und Jim Hall verglichen. Seit über zwanzig Jahren spielt er gemeinsam mit Pablo Ziegler, dem legendären Pianisten des Astor Piazzolla Quintettos vom Duo bis zum Quintett. Am heutigen Abend lädt Quique mit Céline Rudolph und Mariana Zwarg zwei profilierte Künstlerinnen der internationalen Jazz- und Latinwelt ein; es verspricht ein denkwürdiger Abend zu werden!

Geboren und aufgewachsen in Berlin, wird Céline Rudolph bereits in der Kindheit von Musik geprägt. Im Alter von zwölf Jahren schreibt sie Chansons, inspiriert von der Mutter, einer Französin. Der Vater führt sie an afro-amerikanische und brasilianische Musik heran. Zunächst studiert sie Rhetorik und Philosophie, doch die Musik ist stärker, und so nimmt sie das Studium für Jazzgesang und -komposition an der Hochschule der Künste Berlin. In den 90er Jahren intensiviert sie ihre Arbeit mit verschiedensten Projekten und wird mit zahlreichen Nachwuchspreisen ausgezeichnet. Spätestens seit den frühen 2000ern ist die vielseitige Sängerin aus der europäischen Szene nicht mehr wegzudenken. Sie spielte Konzerte mit Stars wie Lee Konitz, Till Brönner, Lionel Loueke, wurde zweimal mit dem ECHO Jazz ausgezeichnet und arbeitet weiter in verschiedensten Genres von Barock über brasilianische Musik bis hin zum Jazz. Neben ihrer Tätigkeit als auftretende Künstlerin ist sie seit 2003 auch leitende Professorin für Jazzgesang an der Hochschule Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden.

Mariana Zwarg wurde 1980 in Rio de Janeiro in eine Musikerfamilie geboren. Ihr Patenonkel ist der legendäre Hermeto Pascoal, in dessen Band ihr Vater seit 45 Jahren spielt. Die täglichen Proben der Band prägten Marianas musikalische Entwicklung von frühester Kindheit an.
Die Flötistin begann ihre Karriere in den 2000er Jahren in der Band ihres Vaters, mit der sie in ganz Lateinamerika und Europa tourte. Mit ihrem 2016 gegründeten „Mariana Zwarg Sexteto Universal“ profilierte sie sich international als Komponistin und Bandleaderin und veröffentlichte 2019 das hochgelobte Album „Nascentes“.

Nanaco Tarui ist eine vielseitige, äußerst anpassungsfähige, professionelle Künstlerin, die ihre fröhliche menschliche Energie auf ihr Instrument überträgt. Ihr Schwerpunkt liegt auf dem Jazz, aber ihre Neugier und ihr Können ermöglichen es ihr, sich auf professioneller Ebene in jeden Stil von Hip Hop, R&B, Free Jazz bis hin zu klassischer Musik hinein zu begeben. Geboren und aufgewachsen in Japan bleibt sie mit ihren wichtigsten Projekten in Tokio und pendelt zwischen ihren Wohnsitzen in Berlin und Japan. Ihr Soloprojekt überbrückt die Kluft zwischen diesen beiden Welten und Kulturen.

Franziska Aller begeistert sich für das Gitarrenspiel seit dem 6. Lebensjahr. 10 Jahre später hat sie sich dem Bass komplett verschrieben und macht ihre Erfahrungen in typischen Jazzformationen, wie Big Bands und Combos. 2011 beginnt sie ein Musikstudium an der Hochschule für Musik Mainz im Hauptfach E-Bass. Einer ihrer Lehrer ist Jesse Milliner, welcher einen großen Einfluss auf sie als Komponistin hat. Aktuell widmet sie sich immer mehr dem Kontrabass. Als Bassistin ist sie in unterschiedlichsten Formationen aktiv.

Von Kuala Lumpur bis zur lebendigen Musikszene Berlins Steve Nanda brilliert als Schlagzeuger, Pianist, Komponist und Musikproduzent. Steve begann seine bemerkenswerte musikalische Reise im Alter von 13 Jahren und begeisterte das Publikum mit seinem rhythmischen Fähigkeiten. Sein außergewöhnliches Talent zeigte sich, als er bereits mit 16 Jahren den Titel 'Bester asiatischer Schlagzeuger' beim Yamaha Asianbeat-Wettbewerb 2003 errang. Derzeit verfolgt er einen Masterstudiengang in Jazzkomposition an der Hochschule für Musik Mainz und setzt kontinuierlich neue Maßstäbe in seinem Handwerk.

Latin Grammy winner Quique Sinesi, commuter between Buenos Aires and Berlin, is considered one of the most renowned and prestigious Argentine guitarists. With his new quartet, dominated by plucked and stringed instruments, he walks with relish between jazz and Latin American folklore. Quiques compositions are played by some of the most prestigious guitar players, whereas he earned his reputation as a tango-meets-jazz interpreter. Already at the age of 15, he became permanent member in Dino Saluzzis quintet. His duo recordings and performances with Charlie Mariano were compared with the duo Bill Evans and Jim Hall. For over twenty years he has played together with Pablo Ziegler, legendary pianist of the Astor Piazzolla Quintet. This evening, Quique welcomes two distinguished artists from the international jazz and Latin scene – Céline Rudolph and Mariana Zwarg; it promises to be a memorable night!

Born and raised in Berlin, Céline Rudolph is already influenced by music in her childhood. At the age of twelve, she writes chansons, inspired by her mother, a French woman. Her father introduces her to African-American and Brazilian music. At first she studies rhetoric and philosophy, but music is stronger, so she takes up studies in jazz singing and composition at the Berlin University of the Arts. In the 90s she intensifies her work with various projects and is awarded with numerous prizes for young artists. Since the early 2000s at the latest, it has been impossible to imagine the European scene without this versatile singer. She has played concerts with stars such as Lee Konitz, Till Brönner, Lionel Loueke, was twice awarded the ECHO Jazz and continues to work in a wide variety of genres from baroque to Brazilian music and jazz. In addition to her work as a performing artist, she has also been a senior professor of jazz singing at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden since 2003.

Mariana Zwarg was born in 1980 into a musical family in Rio de Janeiro. Her godfather is the legendary Hermeto Pascoal, in whose band her father has been playing for 45 years. The daily rehearsals of the band shaped Mariana's musical development from early childhood. The flutist began her career in the 2000s in her father's band, touring throughout Latin America and Europe. With her "Mariana Zwarg Sexteto Universal," founded in 2016, she established herself internationally as a composer and bandleader, releasing the highly acclaimed album "Nascentes" in 2019.

Nanaco Tarui is a versatile, highly adaptable professional artist who transfers her joyful human energy to her instrument. Her focus is on jazz, but her curiosity and skill allow her to venture into any style from hip hop, R&B, free jazz to classical music on a professional level. Born and raised in Japan, she stays in Tokyo with her main projects and shuttles between her residences in Berlin and Japan. Her solo project bridges the gap between these two worlds and cultures.

Franziska Aller has been enthusiastic about playing the guitar since the age of 6. 10 years later she has completely dedicated herself to the bass and makes her experiences in typical jazz formations, such as big bands and combos. In 2011, she began studying music at the Mainz University of Music, majoring in electric bass. One of her teachers is Jesse Milliner, who has a great influence on her as a composer. Currently she is devoting more and more time to the double bass. As a bass player she is active in various formations.

From Kuala Lumpur to Berlin's vibrant music scene Steve Nanda shines as a drummer, pianist, composer and music producer. Steve began his remarkable musical journey at the age of 13, wowing audiences with his rhythmic skills. His exceptional talent was evident when he won the title of 'Best Asian Drummer' at the Yamaha Asianbeat Competition in 2003 at the age of 16. He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Jazz Composition at the Mainz University of Music and is continuously setting new standards in his craft.
