Stochelo Rosenberg wurde in eine Musikerfamilie hineingeboren und begann im Alter von 10 Jahren, Gitarre zu spielen. Er lernte das Spiel von seinem Vater und seinem Onkel, aber vor allem durch das Hören von Platten von Django Reinhardt. In seiner Jugend machte er sich bereits in der Szene einen Namen. Ende der 1980er Jahre, im Alter von 20 Jahren, gelang ihm mit dem Rosenberg Trio der große internationale Durchbruch. Das Trio spielte auf vielen wichtigen Bühnen der Welt: von der Carnegie Hall über das Concertgebouw Amsterdam und die Rose Bowl in Los Angeles bis hin zu vielen wichtigen Jazzfestivals wie North Sea Jazz, Jazz in Marciac, Festival Django Reinhardt in Samois, Jazz en Touraine und vielen mehr. Gleichzeitig ist er musikalisch sehr breit aufgestellt und lässt sich gerne von Stilen wie Bossa Nova, Pop und Klassik beeinflussen. Stochelos Gitarrenspiel zeichnet sich durch eine tadellose Technik, große Eleganz und eine sehr persönliche Phrasierung aus. Eine Kombination aus Virtuosität und Genialität. Auch in seinen Improvisationen bleibt sein Spiel klar und präzise, voller Leidenschaft und Emotion. Er hat mit vielen Spitzenmusikern wie Stéphane Grapelli, Bireli Lagrene, Tommy Emmanuel, Peter Beets, Jaap van Zweden, Toots Thielemans etc. gespielt. Ein Auftritt von ihm garantiert ein Gitarrenspektakel auf höchstem Niveau.

Auch Mozes Rosenberg gehört zur Musikerfamilie der Rosenbergs. Er ist der jüngste Bruder Stochelos und spielte bereits mit sieben Jahren in dessen Trio. Auch begegnete er bereits früh Koryphäen wie Paco de Lucia und Joe Zawinul und ließ sich von ihnen inspirieren. Neben der Arbeit mit Stochelo leitet er ein eigenes Trio und ist ebenfalls gefragter Sologitarrist. Das Zusammenspiel der beiden Brüder garantiert ein Gitarrenspektakel auf höchstem Niveau und kann ohne Zweifel als das absolut Beste im Genre des Gypsy Jazz bezeichnet werden.

Stochelo Rosenberg was born into a family of musicians and began playing guitar at the age of 10. He learned from his father and uncle, but most of all by listening to the records of Django Reinhardt. As a teenager, he was already making a name for himself in the scene. By the late 1980s, at just 20 years old, he achieved his major international breakthrough with the Rosenberg Trio. The trio has performed on many of the world’s most important stages: from Carnegie Hall to the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles, and countless renowned jazz festivals such as North Sea Jazz, Jazz in Marciac, Festival Django Reinhardt in Samois, Jazz en Touraine, and many more. Within the genre of Gypsy Jazz, Stochelo is undoubtedly considered the absolute best. At the same time, his musical horizon is broad, drawing inspiration from Bossa Nova, Pop, and Classical music. Stochelo’s guitar playing is distinguished by impeccable technique, great elegance, and a very personal phrasing – a combination of virtuosity and brilliance. Even in his improvisations, his playing remains clear and precise, full of passion and emotion. He has performed with many world-class musicians such as Stéphane Grappelli, Biréli Lagrène, Tommy Emmanuel, Peter Beets, Jaap van Zweden, Toots Thielemans, and many others.

Mozes Rosenberg is also part of the renowned Rosenberg musical family. He is Stochelo’s youngest brother and began performing in his brother’s trio at the age of just seven. Early on, he encountered and drew inspiration from great masters such as Paco de Lucía and Joe Zawinul. Alongside his work with Stochelo, Mozes leads his own trio and is also a highly sought-after solo guitarist. The interplay between the two brothers guarantees a guitar spectacle at the highest level and can without doubt be considered among the very best the Gypsy Jazz genre has to offer.
