Eine große Stimme, große Songs und eine Hommage an eine der unverwechselbarsten Sängerinnen der Pop- und Jazzgeschichte: Mit „Bond, Bassey & Jazz“ bringt Dvora Davis ein Programm in den Zig Zag, das ganz im Zeichen von Shirley Bassey und den großen Songs ihrer Ära steht.
Basseys unverwechselbare Stimme machte Songs wie „Goldfinger“, „Diamonds Are Forever“ und „Moonraker“ zu Klassikern weit über die James-Bond-Filme hinaus. Dvora Davis nimmt dieses Repertoire zum Ausgangspunkt für eigene Jazzarrangements und verbindet die große Geste Basseys mit ihrer eigenen musikalischen Persönlichkeit. Ergänzt werden die berühmten Songs durch ausgewählte Jazzstandards und eigene Kompositionen aus ihrem Album „A Simple Affair“.
Dvora Davis ist Sängerin, Songwriterin und Komponistin mit einer kraftvollen, warmen Stimme und ausgeprägter Bühnenpräsenz. Ihre Konzerte führten sie durch weite Teile Europas, darunter Deutschland, Großbritannien, Spanien, die Niederlande, Österreich, Italien, die Schweiz und Tschechien. Musikalisch bewegt sie sich zwischen Jazz, Soul und Songwriting und verbindet die Eleganz klassischer Vocal-Traditionen mit einem direkten, persönlichen Zugang zu den Songs.
Mit „Bond, Bassey & Jazz“ stellt Davis diese Qualitäten in den Mittelpunkt: eine ausdrucksstarke Sängerin, eine hervorragende Jazzband und ein Repertoire voller Songs, die auch Jahrzehnte nach ihrer Entstehung nichts von ihrer Wirkung verloren haben.

A great voice, great songs and a tribute to one of the most distinctive singers in pop and jazz history: with “Bond, Bassey & Jazz”, Dvora Davis brings a programme to the Zig Zag centred around Shirley Bassey and the great songs of her era.
Bassey’s unmistakable voice turned songs such as “Goldfinger”, “Diamonds Are Forever” and “Moonraker” into classics far beyond the James Bond films. Dvora Davis takes this repertoire as the starting point for her own jazz arrangements, combining Bassey’s sense of drama with her own musical personality. The famous songs are complemented by selected jazz standards and original compositions from Davis’ album “A Simple Affair”.
Dvora Davis is a singer, songwriter and composer with a powerful, warm voice and a commanding stage presence. Her performances have taken her across Europe, including Germany, the UK, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. Musically, she moves between jazz, soul and songwriting, combining the elegance of classic vocal traditions with a direct and personal approach to the songs.
