inEvitable ist das neueste musikalische Projekt von EVI FILIPPOU. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Experimentation mit den Formen der griechischen Folklore, des Jazz und der Improvisationsmusik. Die Perkussionistin und Songwriterinfolgt ihrem Bedürfnis nach Selbstausdruck auf dem Weg der musikalischen Erforschung ihrer Hörwurzeln zurück zum folkloristischen Erbe Griechenlands – mit Melodien, die zwischen zeitlosen traditionellen Liedern, der modernen Singer-Songwriter-Tradition und den Volksliedern der 1960er- und 1970er-Jahre angesiedelt sind. Gleichzeitig verbindet sich diese zutiefst persönliche Auseinandersetzung mit ihrem Weg durch die zeitgenössische Musik- und Improvisationsszene Berlins. Diese besondere Verschmelzung von Genres und persönlichen Erfahrungen führte zur Entstehung von inEvitable.

inEvitable is the latest musical endeavor of EVI FILIPPOU. It revolves around the exploration of Greek folk music, jazz, and improvisation. Driven by a need for personal expression, the percussionist and songwriter embarked on a musical journey back to the folk heritage of her native Greece, drawing on influences that range from timeless traditional melodies to the modern singer-songwriter tradition and the Greek folk songs of the 1960s and 1970s. At the same time, this deeply personal exploration has become intertwined with her experience in Berlin’s contemporary and improvisational music scene. The result is inEvitable – a unique fusion of genres, traditions, and personal experiences.
