Innokenty Ivanov ist Vibraphonist und Komponist, geboren in Kamenskoye, Ukraine. Er absolvierte die Staatliche Akademie für Kultur Charkiw mit einem Abschluss in Orchesterpercussion. Von 2004 bis 2023 lebte und arbeitete er in Moskau, trat mit Igor Butmans Big Band auf, arbeitete mit führenden russischen Jazzmusikern zusammen und trat auf großen Festivals auf. Er arbeitet als Komponist von Ethno-Jazz- und Fusion-Suiten für Sinfonie- und Streichorchester sowie Werken für Big Band und kleine Ensembles. Seit Juli 2023 lebt er in Berlin und studiert im Masterstudiengang Komposition und Arrangement am Jazz-Institut Berlin.
Gamlito ist ein internationales Jazz-Quartett mit Sitz in Berlin – mit Wurzeln in Dänemark, Schottland, Deutschland und Spanien. Wir haben uns in der lebendigen und experimentellen Musikszene der Stadt kennengelernt und schnell einen gemeinsamen Sound und eine melodische Verbindung gefunden. Wir spielen eigene Musik, die sich frei zwischen dem Verträumten und dem Rhythmischen bewegt – inspiriert von skandinavischer Folkmusik, jungem zeitgenössischem amerikanischem Jazz, der Energie Berlins und unseren unterschiedlichen kulturellen Hintergründen. Es geht nicht darum, in einen Stil zu passen – es geht darum, etwas Ehrliches und Lebendiges in der Begegnung zwischen uns zu finden.
Innokenty Ivanov is a vibraphonist and composer, born in Kamenskoye, Ukraine. He graduated from the State Academy of Culture in Kharkiv with a degree in orchestral percussion. From 2004 to 2023 he lived and worked in Moscow, performing with Igor Butman’s Big Band, collaborating with leading Russian jazz musicians, and appearing at major festivals. As a composer, he creates ethno-jazz and fusion suites for symphony and string orchestra, as well as works for big band and small ensembles. Since July 2023 he has been living in Berlin and pursuing a Master’s degree in Composition and Arrangement at the Jazz Institute Berlin.
Gamlito is an international Berlin-based jazz quartet — with musical roots in Denmark, Scotland, Germany, and Spain. The group met within the city’s vibrant and experimental music scene, quickly discovering a shared sound and melodic chemistry. They perform original music that moves freely between the dreamlike and the rhythmic — inspired by Scandinavian folk, fresh contemporary American jazz, the energy of Berlin, and the musicians’ diverse cultural identities. It’s not about fitting into a style — it’s about creating something honest and alive through the meeting of their voices.
