Erneut begrüßen wir Attila Mühl, der mit seinen Bandprojekten regelmäßig ein restlos begeistertes Publikum hinterlässt! Dieses Mal bringt der Berliner Jazzgitarrist, Komponist und Bandleader eine handverlesene internationale All-Star-Band erstmals auf die Bühne des Zig Zag Jazz Club – ein absolutes Highlight für alle, die Jazz nicht nur hören, sondern erleben wollen.

Attila Muehl ist einer in Berlin lebender Jazzgitarrist. Er nahm Unterricht bei Jonathan Kreisberg, Frank Tiberi, Doug Weiss und Rez Abasi. Von 2007 bis 2009 studierte er an der HfMT Köln bei Frank Haunschild und setzte sein Studium von 2009-2013 in Berlin bei Kurt Rosenwinkel fort. Er ist eine der aktivsten Persönlichkeiten der deutschen Jazzszene und hat mit einigen der besten Jazzmusiker der lokalen und internationalen Szene aufgenommen und gespielt. Dazu gehören prominente Musiker wie Johnny Griffin, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Torsten Goods, Till Brönner, Peter Weniger, Wanja Slavin, Peter Ehwald, Phil Donkin, Tobias Backhaus, Bodek Janke, Andrea Marcelli, um nur einige zu nennen.

Toms Rudzinskis zählt zu den innovativsten Saxophonisten und Komponisten Lettlands. 2012 wurde er beim internationalen Bigband-Wettbewerb „Meer Jazz“ als Bester Solist ausgezeichnet und zum Jazz-Botschafter des renommierten Bimhuis in Amsterdam ernannt. Er gewann den Grand Prix des „Keep an Eye“-Jazz Awards mit dem Ensemble North by Northwest, den Burghausen Jazzwettbewerb mit dem Matiss Cudars Quartett sowie die Dutch Jazz Competition mit dem Loran Witteveen Quintet. Gemeinsam mit dem Trompeter Gerhard Ornig veröffentlichte er die Alben ABRA (2015) und Locomotion (2017). Seine Werke wurden mehrfach für den lettischen Musikpreis („lettischer Grammy“) in der Kategorie „Bestes Jazzalbum“ nominiert. Rudzinskis ist international als Solist, Bandleader und gefragter Sideman aktiv.

Davide Incorvaia ist ein Jazzpianist und -komponist, dessen unverwechselbarer Zugang zum Klavier die klassische europäische Musiktradition mit den aktuellen Experimenten des zeitgenössischen Jazz verbindet. In seinen Kompositionen und Improvisationen strebt er nach der Dynamik, der Unvorhersehbarkeit, die für ihn das Wesen des Jazz ausmacht, nach der Entwicklung musikalischer Ideen durch den natürlichen Kreislauf von Anziehung und Zurückhaltung. Seine muskalische Reise führte ihn den kreativsten Berlinern zusammen, wie auch mit internationalen Größen wie Dee Dee Bridgewater, Randy Brecker oder Bob Mintzer.

Lars Gühlcke begann mit der Gitarre und studierte dann Kontrabass in Amsterdam und Hilversum. Seit 1996 ist er festes Mitglied des Ed Kröger Quartetts mit der Gastsolistin Romy Camerun. Nach einem Aufenthalt in New York City und zahlreichen Konzerten im In- und Ausland lebt er seit 2000 in Berlin und arbeitet als freischaffender Musiker. Er trat mehrfach in Fernsehen und Rundfunk auf.

Adam Zagórski ist ein international gefragter polnischer Jazzdrummer. Er erhielt klassischen Klavierunterricht, entschied sich aber für das Schlagzeug als Hauptinstrument und studierte in Poznan, Odense und Groningen. Schon während des Studiums fand sein Spiel, unter anderem durch die Teilnahme an internationalen Jazzwettbewerben internationale Beachtung. Inzwischen ist er eine feste Größe in der Szene, spielte mit Jerry Bergonzi, Alex Sipiagin, Joel Frahm und vielen mehr und tourt mit seinen Projekten um die ganze Welt.

This time, the Berlin-based jazz guitarist, composer, and bandleader brings a hand-picked international all-star band to the stage of the Zig Zag Jazz Club for the very first time – an absolute highlight for anyone who doesn’t just want to hear jazz, but truly experience it.

Attila Muehl is a jazz guitarist living in Berlin. He took lessons with Jonathan Kreisberg, Frank Tiberi, Doug Weiss and Rez Abasi. From 2007 to 2009 he studied at the HfMT Cologne with Frank Haunschild and continued his studies from 2009-2013 in Berlin with Kurt Rosenwinkel. He is one of the most active figures in the German jazz scene and has recorded and performed with some of the best jazz musicians on the local and international scene. This includes prominent musicians such as Johnny Griffin, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Torsten Goods, Till Brönner, Peter Weniger, Wanja Slavin, Peter Ehwald, Phil Donkin, Tobias Backhaus, Bodek Janke, Andrea Marcelli, to name a few.

Toms Rudzinskis is one of the leading innovative Latvian saxophone players and composers. Chosen as Best Soloist at the international big band competition “Meer Jazz” and Jazz ambassador of the internationally recognised venue Bimhuis in 2012. Won Grand Prix at “Keep an Eye” Jazz award with North by Northwest, “Burghausen Jazz competition” with Matiss Cudars quartet and “Dutch Jazz Competition” with Loran Witteveen quintet. Released "ABRA" (2015) and "Locomotion" (2017) with Gerhard Ornig. Numerous Latvian Grammy "Best Jazz Album" nominee. Performs internationally as a soloist, bandleader and much valued sideman. 

Davide Incorvaia is a jazz pianist and composer, whose distinctive approach to the piano combines the classical european music tradition with the current experimentations in contemporary jazz. In his compositions and improvisations, he aims to find the momentum, the unpredictability, that defines for him what jazz is about, developing musical ideas through the natural cycle of attraction and retention. His musical journey brought him together with the most creative Berliners, as well as with international greats such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Randy Brecker or Bob Mintzer.

Lars Gühlcke started with the guitar and then studied double bass in Amsterdam and Hilversum. Since 1996 he has been a permanent member of the Ed Kröger Quartet with guest soloist Romy Camerun. After a stay in New York City and numerous concerts in Germany and abroad, he has lived in Berlin since 2000 and works as a freelance musician. He has appeared several times on television and radio.

Adam Zagórski is an internationally sought-after Polish jazz drummer. Initially trained in classical piano, he ultimately chose drums as his primary instrument and pursued studies in Poznan, Odense, and Groningen. Even during his studies, his playing attracted international attention, not least through his participation in various international jazz competitions. Today, he is a well-established figure in the jazz scene, having performed with artists such as Jerry Bergonzi, Alex Sipiagin, Joel Frahm, and many others, and touring the world with his own projects.
