"Das ist Jazz. Es klingt nur nicht so." So beschreibt der virtuose Gitarrist Oz Noy seine mitreißende Musik, die erfrischend neu, innovativ und spritzig klingt. Der in Israel geborene Oz Noy begann seine professionelle Karriere im Alter von 13 Jahren mit Jazz, Blues, Pop- und Rockmusik. Im Alter von 16 Jahren spielte er bereits mit israelischen Spitzenmusikern und -künstlern. Im Alter von 24 Jahren war er einer der etabliertesten Studiogitarristen des Landes. Oz war außerdem mehr als zwei Jahre lang Mitglied der Hausband von Israels beliebtester Fernsehshow. Seit seiner Ankunft in New York im Jahr 1996 hat Oz einen großen Einfluss auf die lokale und internationale Musikszene ausgeübt. Sein einzigartiger und mitreißender Stil hat alle Regeln der instrumentalen Gitarrenmusik gebrochen, indem er sich auf den Groove konzentriert. All-Stars wie Keith Carlock, Anton Fig, Vinnie Colaiuta und Dave Weckl wirken oft am Schlagzeug mit, am Bass unter anderem Will Lee, James Genus und Reggie Washington.

Dennis Chambers ist ohne Zweifel einer der größten lebenden Schlagzeuger und hat zahllose Drummer auf der ganzen Welt und über die Grenzen des Jazz hinaus inspiriert. Bereits mit 18 Jahren spielte Dennis für Parliament/Funkadelic und blieb dem ungezügelten Funk sieben Jahre treu. Es folgten Auftritte und Studioarbeit mit George Duke, Maceo Parker, den Brecker Brothers, Santana, John McLaughlin, eigentlich allen Größen der Groove- und Fusionmusik.

Brian Charette gehört zu den führenden Hammond-Organisten unserer Zeit. Mit seinem unverwechselbaren Groove, seiner modernen Klangsprache und seinem Gespür für packende Improvisationen hat er sich fest in der internationalen Jazzszene etabliert. Er wurde für einen Grammy nominiert, erhielt 2014 den DownBeat Rising Star Award und zählt seit Jahren zu den Top-Organisten des Magazins. Charette spielte mit Größen wie Lou Donaldson, George Coleman, John Scofield und Stefon Harris und ist sowohl als Leader als auch als Sideman weltweit unterwegs.

Time and again, Bona proves his unmatched ability to weave together the traditional sounds of his Cameroonian homeland with the stylistic currents of Europe and the United States. He does so with effortless naturalness, never forced, always authentic. Many already regard him as a living legend. His list of collaborations reads like a “who’s who” of music: Herbie Hancock, Harry Belafonte, Steps Ahead, Quincy Jones, Chick Corea, Sting, Mike Stern, Pat Metheny, Stevie Wonder, Bobby McFerrin, Chucho Valdés, George Benson and Oumou Sangaré, to name only a few. A world-class bassist, a gifted multi-instrumentalist, and a vocalist with a truly magical voice—whenever Bona takes the stage, audiences can expect a performance that is both unique and profoundly moving.

At his side is Cuban pianist, composer, and arranger Jesús Pupo, a versatile artist whose playing moves effortlessly between symphonic textures, stylized jazz ensembles, chamber intimacy, and avant-garde explorations. A graduate of the Amadeo Roldán Conservatory in Havana, Pupo brings elegance, imagination, and boundless energy to every performance.

On drums, the Cuban-American powerhouse Ludwig Afonso adds dynamic drive and nuance. Raised in Miami, Afonso has performed with Maria Schneider, Joshua Redman, Chris Potter, Mark Murphy, and was a longtime member of Spyro Gyra, earning multiple Grammy nominations along the way. His playing combines precision, groove, and expressive intensity, anchoring the trio with unmistakable authority.

Dennis Chambers is undoubtedly one of the greatest living drummers, having inspired countless drummers around the world and beyond the boundaries of jazz. At just 18 years old, Dennis played for Parliament/Funkadelic and remained devoted to their unrestrained funk for seven years. This was followed by performances and studio work with George Duke, Maceo Parker, the Brecker Brothers, Santana, John McLaughlin, and virtually all the giants of groove and fusion music.

Brian Charette is one of today’s leading Hammond organists. With his unmistakable groove, modern sound, and flair for captivating improvisation, he has become a prominent voice on the international jazz scene. A Grammy nominee and recipient of the 2014 DownBeat Critics’ Poll Rising Star Award, Charette has been consistently ranked among the top organists in the magazine’s polls. He has performed with legends such as Lou Donaldson, George Coleman, John Scofield and Stefon Harris, and tours the world both as a leader and as a sideman.
