Mit gerade einmal 26 Jahren gehört Stella Cole zu den aufregendsten neuen Stimmen des klassischen Vocal Jazz. Innerhalb weniger Jahre erreichte sie mit einem Repertoire, dessen große Zeit lange vor ihrer Geburt liegt, ein Millionenpublikum: George Gershwin, Cole Porter und Harold Arlen, die großen Songs des alten Hollywood und das Great American Songbook. Was mit kurzen Aufnahmen auf Social Media begann, führte Cole inzwischen zu Decca Records, auf internationale Tourneen und auf die Bühnen einiger der renommiertesten Häuser der USA.

2025 erschien ihr Album „It’s Magic“, aufgenommen mit dem zweifachen Grammy-Gewinner Alan Broadbent und großem Streichorchester. 2026 folgte „Live at Café Carlyle“, mitgeschnitten während ihrer ausverkauften Residency im legendären New Yorker Café Carlyle. Mit erstaunlicher Selbstverständlichkeit bringt Cole eine der großen amerikanischen Gesangstraditionen zu einer neuen Generation – und kommt nun erstmals ins Zig Zag!

Stella Cole wurde 1999 in Springfield, Illinois, geboren und wuchs mit klassischen Hollywood-Musicals auf. Insbesondere Judy Garland und „The Wizard of Oz“ wurden zu frühen musikalischen Bezugspunkten. Nach ihrem Studium zog Cole nach New York und etablierte sich dort auch als Live-Sängerin. Sie trat unter anderem im Birdland, Carnegie Hall und Madison Square Garden auf und tourte 2023 mit Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox durch die USA, Australien und Neuseeland.

At just 26 years old, Stella Cole has emerged as one of the most exciting new voices in classic vocal jazz. Within only a few years, she has reached an audience of millions with a repertoire whose golden age came long before she was born: George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Harold Arlen, the great songs of classic Hollywood and the Great American Songbook. What began with short performances on social media has since taken Cole to Decca Records, international tours and the stages of some of America’s most renowned venues.

In 2025, she released “It’s Magic”, recorded with two-time Grammy winner Alan Broadbent and a full string orchestra. In 2026, “Live at Café Carlyle” followed, recorded during her sold-out residency at New York’s legendary Café Carlyle. With remarkable ease, Cole is bringing one of America’s great vocal traditions to a new generation – and now makes her Zig Zag debut!

Stella Cole was born in Springfield, Illinois, in 1999 and grew up immersed in classic Hollywood musicals. Judy Garland and “The Wizard of Oz” in particular became early musical touchstones. After completing her studies, Cole moved to New York and established herself as a live performer, appearing at venues including Birdland, Carnegie Hall and Madison Square Garden.
