Tyreek McDole ist DER neue Star am Jazzfirmament! Der haitianisch-amerikanische Sänger mit der klangvollen Baritonstimme erobert derzeit mit seinem bei Artwork Records erschienenen Debutalbum Open Up You Senses die Jazzwelt. Mit seinen gerade einmal 24 Jahren kann McDole bereits auf eine beträchtliche Sammlung an prestigeträchtigen Auszeichnungen blicken und dreht die New Yorker Jazzszene auf links. Als einer von erst zwei Männern in der Geschichte des Wettbewerbs gewann er 2023 den 1. Preis bei der Sarah Vaughan Jazz Competition, nachdem er 2018 an Wynton Marsalis’ Jazz at Lincoln Center den Preis für den besten Vokalisten erhielt. Er stand bereits mit Größen wie Theo Croker, Gary Bartz, Rodney Whitaker und mehr auf der Bühne und gilt schon jetzt als eines der größten Jazzstars von morgen!


Jochen Rückert is a German jazz drummer, composer, and bandleader based in New York City since the mid-1990s. He began playing drums at age six and studied at the Cologne University of Music before moving to New York in 1995. Rückert has appeared on over 120 albums, working with artists and ensembles including the Marc Copland Trio, Nils Wogram & Root 70, Kurt Rosenwinkel Group, Mark Turner Band, Melissa Aldana Trio, Sam Yahel, as well as John Abercrombie, Kenny Werner, Ron Carter and others. Since 2011 he has led his own quartet, touring internationally and releasing several albums.

Born in the United Kingdom and the recipient of multiple awards, Alexandra Ridout is a trumpeter, bandleader, composer, and educator based in Harlem, New York City. At just 26 years old, Alexandra is already considered one of the most talented young trumpeters on the international scene. Since winning the prestigious BBC Young Jazz Musician Award in 2016, she has been propelled into a busy, high-profile career and has captivated audiences ever since. Her accolades include the British Jazz Awards “Rising Star” (2018), the Keep an Eye International Jazz Awards “Best Soloist” (2023), second prize at the renowned Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Competition (2023), and most recently the Next Jazz Legacy 2025 Award presented by New Music USA. Alex’s distinctive trumpet voice is in high demand among leading musicians such as Orlando Le Flemming, Kit Downes, Dayna Stephens, Christine Jensen, Caroline Davis, Alex Hitchcock, and Pablo Held.

Kevin Sun is an American jazz musician (tenor saxophone, C-melody saxophone, clarinet) and composer. He studied at Harvard College, graduating summa cum laude in 2014, and continued his studies in the joint program at the New England Conservatory of Music, earning a Master of Music in Jazz Performance. Sun performs regularly in jazz quartet settings and has appeared as both leader and sideman at venues such as Smalls Jazz Club, Symphony Space, and Carnegie Hall in New York, and the Sunside Jazz Club in Paris. He has performed with artists including Vijay Iyer, James Moody, Kenny Burrell, Dave Liebman, and Rich Perry.

Hamish Smith, an award-winning New Zealand jazz bassist, quickly established himself in the New York jazz scene with his groove-centric approach and rhythmic inventiveness. NEA Jazz Master Todd Barkan described him as “a modern marvel—one of the great young bassists in the world.”
He has toured and recorded with leading artists such as Paquito D’Rivera, Miguel Zenón, Yosvany Terry, Dayna Stephens, Manuel Valera, Elio Villafranca, and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra. As a leader, he performs with his own quintet and co-founded the collective Immigrantet. After relocating to New York on a scholarship to the Manhattan School of Music, he was hired by Paquito D’Rivera in his freshman year. Smith is also an active educator, teaching privately and as a guest lecturer internationally.
