Der in Beirut geborene und aufgewachsene Tarek Yamani ist ein autodidaktischer Jazzpianist, Komponist und Produzent, dessen Arbeit die Verbindungen zwischen Jazz und klassischer arabischer Musik erforscht. Besonders deutlich wird dieser Ansatz auf seinen Alben „Lisan Al Tarab: Jazz Conceptions in Classical Arabic“ und „Peninsular“, auf dem er Jazz mit Vierteltönen und Rhythmen der Arabischen Halbinsel verbindet. Als Gewinner der renommierten Thelonious Monk International Jazz Composers Competition mit seiner Komposition „Sama’i Yamani“ nahm Tarek an fünf internationalen All-Star-Konzerten zum International Jazz Day teil und stand dort unter anderem mit Wayne Shorter, Richard Bona, Zakir Hussain, Esperanza Spalding, Antonio Sánchez, Brian Blade und Vinnie Colaiuta auf der Bühne. Tarek trat in renommierten Konzerthäusern und bei Festivals auf, darunter die Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., die Kathedrale von Barcelona im Rahmen von La Mercè, das David Rubenstein Atrium am Lincoln Center, der Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin, Dizzy’s Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center, das MuCEM in Marseille, die Generalversammlungshalle der Vereinten Nationen in New York, das Gran Teatro de La Habana in Kuba, das Melbourne Arts Centre, das Abu Dhabi Festival, die Dubai Expo, das Detroit Institute of Arts, das Royal Opera House Muscat, die Aaron Davis Hall in New York und das Morgenland Festival. Neben seiner Arbeit als Musiker schreibt Tarek Essays und produziert Videos, in denen er sich mit Phänomenen aus den Bereichen Klang, Harmonik und unterschiedlichen Stimmungssystemen beschäftigt. Darüber hinaus ist er als Dozent tätig, Autor zweier selbst veröffentlichter Bücher über Rhythmik und komponierte Filmmusik für Produktionen, die auf mehr als 100 internationalen Filmfestivals gezeigt sowie von AMC, BBC und Sundance TV ausgestrahlt wurden.

Thiago Duarte ist ein Bassist aus Südbrasilien. In der lokalen Szene aktiv, hat er mit Namen wie Joao Donato, Egberto Gismonti, Joao Bosco, Airto Moreira und Flora Purim gespielt. Mit Flora und Airto wirkte er als elektrischer und akustischer Bassist bei den letzten Alben mit, darunter "If You Will" von Flora Purim, das für den Grammy 2022 in der Kategorie bestes Latin Jazz Album nominiert wurde.

Ugo Alunni ist ein Schlagzeuger aus Perugia, Italien. Er besuchte das Conservatorio di Musica “Francesco Morlacchi” in Perugia (2000-2004), danach zog er nach New York, um an der Collective School of Music (2005-2006) weiter zu studieren. Seit 2010 lebt er in Berlin, wo er am Jazz Institut Berlin unter der Leitung von John Hollenbeck, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Greg Cohen und David Friedman studierte, Abschluss 2016. Er spielte mit Rossano Emili, dem Perugia Jazz Orchestra, Pietro Tonolo, Joe Chambers, Dan Kinzelman, Alessandro Lanzoni, Elias Stemeseder , Phil Donkin, Uli Kempendorff, Julia Hülsmann und viele andere.

Born and raised in Beirut, Tarek Yamani is a self-taught jazz pianist, composer, and producer whose work explores the relationships between jazz and classical Arabic music. His approach is most evident in his albums Lisan Al Tarab: Jazz Conceptions in Classical Arabic and Peninsular, which blends jazz with quarter-tones and the rhythms of the Arabian Peninsula. Winner of the prestigious Thelonious Monk International Jazz Composers Competition for his composition Sama’i Yamani, Tarek has participated in five all-star global concerts celebrating International Jazz Day where he has shared the stage with artists including Wayne Shorter, Richard Bona, Zakir Hussain, Esperanza Spalding, Antonio Sánchez, Brian Blade, and Vinnie Colaiuta. Tarek has performed in prestigious venues and festivals including the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.; Barcelona Cathedral at La Mercè; the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center; Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin; Dizzy’s Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center; MuCEM in Marseille; the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York; Gran Teatro de La Habana in Cuba; Melbourne Arts Centre; Abu Dhabi Festival; Dubai Expo; the Detroit Institute of Arts; the Royal Opera House Muscat; Aaron Davis Hall in New York; and Morgenland Festival. Alongside his work as a performer, Tarek writes essays and produces videos exploring interesting phenomena between sound, harmony, and different tuning systems. He is also an educator and author of two self-published books on rhythm and has composed scores for films screened at 100+ international film festivals and broadcast on AMC, BBC, and Sundance TV.

Thiago Duarte is a bassist from southern Brazil. Active in the local scene, he has played with names such as Joao Donato, Egberto Gismonti, Joao Bosco, Airto Moreira and Flora Purim. He has collaborated with Flora and Airto as electric and acoustic bassist on their latest albums, including "If You Will" by Flora Purim, which was nominated for the 2022 Grammy in the Best Latin Jazz Album category.

Ugo Alunni is a percussionist from Perugia, Italy. He attended the Conservatorio di Musica "Francesco Morlacchi" in Perugia (2000-2004), then moved to New York to continue his studies at the Collective School of Music (2005-2006). Since 2010 he lives in Berlin, where he studied at the Jazz Institut Berlin under the direction of John Hollenbeck, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Greg Cohen and David Friedman, graduating in 2016. He has played with Rossano Emili, the Perugia Jazz Orchestra, Pietro Tonolo, Joe Chambers, Dan Kinzelman, Alessandro Lanzoni, Elias Stemeseder , Phil Donkin, Uli Kempendorff, Julia Hülsmann and many others.
