Cosmo Klein kehrt zurück in den Zig Zag! Bereits beim Zig Zag Festival begeisterte er gemeinsam mit seinem Musikerkollektiv mit „Purple 4 Life – A Tribute to Prince“ das Publikum. Jetzt kommt er mit THE CAMPERS zurück und bringt sein neues Album „Jumping Bird“ auf die Bühne.
Nach dem international erfolgreichen Debütalbum „Soul Fiction“ knüpfen Cosmo Klein & THE CAMPERS mit „Jumping Bird“ an ihren modernen Nu-Funk-Sound an. Verwurzelt in der Musik von Prince, Marvin Gaye und James Brown verbindet die Band Funk und Soul mit Einflüssen aus Jazz und Pop. Dass Klein vor allem live zu Hause ist, zeigt auch seine regelmäßige Zusammenarbeit mit der Grammy-ausgezeichneten SWR Big Band, die ihn immer wieder als Gast einlädt.
Im Zig Zag stehen Cosmo Klein (vocals, drums), Stefan Fuhr (bass), Ruben Grosse (guitar) und Florian Menzel (trumpet, flugelhorn) auf der Bühne. In dieser Besetzung entstand auch der charakteristische Sound von „Jumping Bird“, bei dem Klein neben Gesang, Songwriting und Produktion erstmals selbst die Drums übernimmt.
Mit über 200.000 monatlichen Spotify-Hörern, internationalen Veröffentlichungen und Tourneen hat sich Cosmo Klein längst auch über Deutschland hinaus einen Namen gemacht. Songs wie „Can’t Get Enough“ zeigen die Funk-Seite der CAMPERS, während „Grand Pa“ und „A Little Bit More“ persönlichere Töne anschlagen. Mit „Who Came to Party“ verneigt sich Klein vor George Clinton und dem P-Funk.
Am 3. Oktober 2026 kehren Cosmo Klein & THE CAMPERS nun in den Zig Zag zurück – diesmal mit ihrer eigenen Musik und der JUMPING BIRD TOUR. Funk und Soul, eine fantastische Live-Band und jede Menge Groove!
Cosmo Klein returns to the Zig Zag! He already thrilled audiences at the Zig Zag Festival with his musical collective and “Purple 4 Life – A Tribute to Prince”. Now he returns with THE CAMPERS, bringing his new album “Jumping Bird” to the stage.
Following the international success of their debut album “Soul Fiction”, Cosmo Klein & THE CAMPERS continue their modern nu-funk sound with “Jumping Bird”. Rooted in the music of Prince, Marvin Gaye and James Brown, the band combines funk and soul with influences from jazz and pop. Klein’s strength as a live performer is also reflected in his regular collaboration with the Grammy Award-winning SWR Big Band, who repeatedly invite him as a guest.
At the Zig Zag, Cosmo Klein (vocals, drums) is joined by Stefan Fuhr (bass), Ruben Grosse (guitar) and Florian Menzel (trumpet, flugelhorn). This line-up also plays a defining role in the sound of “Jumping Bird”, with Klein taking over the drums himself for the first time in addition to vocals, songwriting and production.
